Paul Dixelius has 24 years of professional experience with special expertise in public sector reform and local democracy.  His work has included: analyses, research assignments and comprehensive evaluations, which have resulted in several publications. Particular gender mainstreaming support has included:

• Gender analyses and adaptation of gender mainstreaming support for public sector actors and organisations
• Support to gender mainstreaming in urban planning, budgeting and local government decision-making processes
• Awareness raising and capacitation to improve gender equality at political and executive level in local governments
• Capacitation and strengthening of the voice of female politicians in unfavourable political environments.
