Dr. Nuzzly Ruiz de Forsberg is a senior expert with more than 15 years of working experience within international development and gender equality in education.

She has undertaken assignments on education sector development and gender equality in Africa: Eritrea, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, Angola; and Latin America: Paraguay, Honduras and Nicaragua, in the integration of gender and social inclusion goals, indicators, analysis in international education and skills sector development programmes, education policy, research and capacity building. She has facilitated integration of gender equality and SRHR into in-service teacher training programs and capacity building of school councils. Moreover, she has undertaken assessment of programmes with a focus on girls’ education and generate specific recommendations in support to girls’ education and life-skills development; and facilitated training and seminars on the issues. Life skills recommended include sessions on SRHR, HIV/AIDS awareness. Other sessions covered topics on transformational leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

She holds a Ph.D. in International Education from Stockholm University, Sweden.
