Anna Lidström
Anna Lidström is a Senior Gender expert and evaluator with extensive field experience of Democratisation, Women’s Rights and Gender, Peace and Security. Anna has worked with Development aid and Post conflict issues 18 years, including 12+ years on Women’s Empowerment, Political Participation and Gender, Peace and Security. She has a Master Master in Peace and Conflict Studies, European Peace University, Stadtschlaining, Austria; BA in Political Science, Social Anthropology and Peace and Conflict Studies.
Anna is a level 1 Gender, WPS and Evaluations expert to Sida. Anna has undertaken 34 evaluation and gender consultancy assignments for Europe, Balkan, Caucasus, Africa and the MENA region (Anna was stationed in Serbia for 7 years, responsible for the programmes in Serbia and Montenengro). Anna also carried out 9 assignments for the 2015-19 gender helpdesk to Sida (Eurolatin, Africa and Humasia). Assignments cover Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, MENA, Africa and Asia.
Anna has carried out a vast number of assessments of project/programme proposals and provided input and analyses on gender related issues and written/oral comments on applications and strategies. Anna has provided support and advice on how to integrate and strengthen a gender equality perspective in projects/programmes and how to integrate and follow-up gender equality in dialogue. Anna has also provided support and advice on how to integrate gender equality into development strategies, MEL and communication and carried out stakeholder mapping, analysis of gender equality trends in country/regionally.
