Visitors to our website may at times wonder what types of work we do on and for gender equality, so here is an example!
Our most active and consistent engagement with gender equality and women’s empowerment is through Sida’s Gender Helpdesk, a contract under our framework with Sida. We are happy to say that all assignments for Sida’s departments and Swedish development cooperation embassies under the care of NCG have so far been a chest full of interesting and demanding experiences. They have also provided us with valuable learning opportunities to apply and further develop our gender expertise in different areas, in line with Swedish development proprieties and the Sustainable Development Goals, e.g., market development, health, environment and climate change, and peace and security.
The current Gender Helpdesk, which started in June 2020, is the third one NCG is providing services on.
