NCG is engaged in the ISO standardisation process for guidelines for the promotion and implementation of gender equality (ISO/PC 337). The work is led by the French National Standard Institute (AFNOR) and reaches approximately 180 countries worldwide. From the Swedish side, Landsorganisationen (LO), SWEDAC and NCG, under the guidance of the Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS), are seeking to influence the process. We see possibilities, but also risks emerging in such process and we hope that more authorities and private actors will engage in the process to safeguard women’s and girls’ rights and gender equality in organisations worldwide.
As part of this engagement, Anja Nordlund from NCG will attend the ISO planetary meeting in Paris in November 2022 as a representative from Sweden.
