NCG has just received news that MSB, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (SCCA), won the right to implement the major EU flagship initiative PPRD 3 East (Prevention, Preparedness and Response to natural and man-made disasters in Eastern Partnership countries – phase 3). The Project spans six countries in Europe’s Eastern neighbourhood area and has a budget of over 6 MEUR. In early autumn 2019, the EU Commission invited SCCA, along with a host of other European organisations and institutions, to submit a competitive proposal for acquiring the rights to implement the PPRD 3 East. Shortly after receiving the invitation, SCCA enlisted the support of NCG Sweden to analyse the terms of reference, provide advice on consortium development and project design, as well as leading the production of progressively more sophisticated drafts towards a comprehensive and quality assured final proposal. The NCG team, consisting of Johan Engström (Proposal Manager and Lead Writer), John Broderick (Financial Analyst) and Suzana Zivkovic (RBM and Gender Expert) worked closely with an impressive internal SCCA team and, by December, the Agency was able to submit a proposal that was compelling enough to beat the competition and win the contract.
