HELPDESK FOR GLOBAL HEALTH AND SRHR
Sweden plays a key role in global health, as a leader in advocating for SRHR and mainstreaming gender equality and human rights in policy and programmes. The majority of Sida’s health support is provided to countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, but it also includes countries in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
The Helpdesk’s purpose is to provide Sida and selected Swedish Embassies with technical support in the areas of global health and SRHR relevant for Sida’s work on development, implementation and monitoring of contributions, and for Sida’s advisory role to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The support provided through the Helpdesk is short-term at maximum 5 days of work or a maximum sum of 60 000 SEK. Helpdesk services can include support related to contributions, method support, analyses and mappings, capacity development, results- and M&E frameworks advice, and more.
The Helpdesk questions and assignments are financed by the Global Strategy for Sustainable Social Development. There is therefore no need to take a decision or to contribute with funds from the unit/department/embassy level for your assignment.
The Helpdesk is jointly managed by NCG Sweden and hera – right to health and development.
The Helpdesk service hours are weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 16.00 CET.
The Helpdesk runs from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2026. The Helpdesk is paused during December, so any work on new assignments beginning after 1 December each year will be postponed until 1 January the following year.
