NCG has recently been awarded a contract with Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation for the evaluation of their program “Strengthening Women’s Rights, Participation and Influence in the Western Balkans” which aims to strengthen women’s rights and women’s equal participation in decision-making in the Western Balkans. The programme has been contributing to gendering the EU accession processes and strengthening civil society organisations in the six EU accession countries and regionally since 2015 and has been extended to complete in 2020. The three intermediate objectives of the programme are: Increased visibility of women’s human rights in EU accession documents; Increased participation of women’s organisations in the EU accession process and Increased prioritisation of women’s human rights by governments in the EU accession process.
