NCG Sweden is implementing a project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Mongolia. The project team is supporting a Mongolian wholesale distributor in their goal of employing and providing inclusive and accessible support for people with disabilities.
NCG consultant Ulf Färnsveden is currently in Ulaanbaatar, together with the team leader Gulnara Ibraeva and two other Mongolian team members, Tungalagtuya Khuukhenduu and Bat-Erdene Munkhbaatar.
Currently, the employment rates for people with disabilities in Mongolia are much lower compared to people without any disability, which the Mongolian Labour Code wants to change by stating that in bigger companies (with over 50 employees), at least 4% of the workforce should be people with disabilities.
Employment can support economic empowerment and self-sufficiency, as well as creating opportunities for individuals. That is why we are happy to support any company that wants to create inclusive and sustainable job opportunities for this demographic.
