NCG Sweden is delighted to have been awarded the contract for the assignment “Evaluation of Sida’s support to education”. Education is one of eight prioritized thematic areas in the Policy framework for Swedish development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. Education (including primary, secondary and post-education, informal education and adult education) is considered a human right and a prerequisite for the attainment of democracy, gender equality, and sustainable development, among others.
The aim of the evaluation is to gain an increased understanding of what role Sida’s bilateral support and a Swedish approach in bilateral education development cooperation have played. Different perspectives of human rights-based approach (HRBA), gender equality, and the OECD/DAC evaluation principles will inform the evaluation.
The assignment is scheduled to kickstart this week and will last until April 2022. Ananda Millard – a seasoned evaluator and partner at NCG – will lead a diverse team of experienced consultants, including national consultants from five case-study countries.
