EVA BRANCHEREAU, INTERN

Eva holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict studies from Uppsala University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organizations from Leiden University. She has joined NCG Sweden as an intern to translate her academic knowledge into practical contributions and further specialise in gender equality.

With prior experience in academia as a research assistant on various research projects ranging from the protection of civilians to nuclear disarmament, Eva has gained valuable skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Her experience as an intern at the Uppsala Conflict Data Program also strengthened her data management and analysis capacities, and her thesis on the influence of militarized masculinities on the participation of women in peace processes cemented her decision to specialise in the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

This internship at NCG Sweden marks her first step into the world of development cooperation. Her background in peace and conflict studies, academic research, and gender equality, together with a commitment to fostering social justice, drives her passion for understanding and addressing complex global challenges.

At NCG Sweden, Eva is eager to gain hands-on experience that bridges theory and practice, deepen her knowledge, and contribute to impactful projects. Looking ahead, she aspires to work on projects advancing gender equality and sustainable development while advocating for inclusive solutions on a global scale.
